Overview:
The role of Installer is pivotal within our solar installation construction teams. As an Installer, you'll collaborate closely with the Foreperson and Lead Installer to successfully execute residential solar installation projects. If you're passionate about solar installation, field safety, and teamwork, this role is ideal for you.
Responsibilities/Impact:
- Prioritize personal, crew, and job site safety at all times, and actively engage in training sessions to stay updated on new products, installation techniques, and safety protocols.
- Conduct inventory checks at the loading dock to ensure the crew truck is adequately stocked.
- Perform layout and assembly of solar modules, racking, mounts, electrical equipment, and tools according to project plans.
- Apply weather sealing to roofing structures and support mechanisms.
- Complete project cleanup, ensuring both the client site and installation vehicle are tidy and orderly.
Qualifications/Keys to Success:
- While previous experience in solar, construction, or the military is preferred, it's not mandatory.
- Demonstrate adherence to company safety policies and procedures, including the ability to identify and report hazards and encourage others to work safely.
- Possess strong interpersonal skills to interact courteously and professionally with customers and coworkers.
- Show a proven track record of meeting deadlines, achieving metrics, and making a positive impact both individually and as a team player in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
