About the Job Opportunity:

Equans is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor to join our team at The City Academy, located in Hackney, London, E9 6EA, on a permanent basis. This is a full-time position requiring 37.5 hours per week, offering a salary of £12.19 per hour.


Responsibilities:

- Supervise the cleaning team to ensure all areas of the building are cleaned and maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene.

- Provide general supervision of the cleaning team.

- Perform general cleaning duties as required, including cleaning floors, toilets, furniture, emptying bins, and removing rubbish.

- Ensure all cleaning equipment is safe to use before commencing duties and report any defects immediately.

- Ensure all cleaning equipment used is cleaned and returned to designated storerooms in a safe and tidy manner after use.

- Undertake major and minor periodic cleaning duties as required, such as carpet cleaning, stripping/sealing/polishing floors, and cleaning ceiling tiles/vents.

- Conduct regular quality checks of the standard of cleaning and report findings as required.

Requirements:

- Previous experience as a cleaner

- Previous supervisor experience

- Previous experience in a customer-facing role

- Good knowledge of Health & Safety/Cleaning requirements

- Must undergo BPSS level vetting, including DBS clearance
